Use this cool looking apple-shaped fruit fly catcher! Fits nicely with the rest of your fruit and gets rid of the fly plague...
Pour some vinegar, fruit juice and a couple of drops of liquid soap (to break the surface tension) into the lower part and wait for the flies to be attracted by the scent. They drown in the liquid...
PS. Don't wash too warm! Mine got deformed a little bit by some almost boiling water (I should have known)
