This cover is meant to do two things.
Stop airflow from blowing down onto the printed part (especially important with ABS prints)
Add extra cooling to the extruder motor on the X-carriage by redirecting the air coming off of the heatsink.
This is a fan cover designed for the Hictop Prusa i3 but should work for any 40mm fan.
