EDIT: 16/03/16
Uploaded a video showing the final model and its operation! It was printed at 2X scale on a Makerbot 2nd gen at 0.2mm layer height, honeycomb infill.
EDIT: 11/03/16
I've just uploaded the pdf versions of the engineering drawings. The one labelled "Templates" is a set of to-scale drawings that can be cut out and glued on top of material to aid fabrication. Please note at 1:1 scale the model wingspan is 375mm. This model is as half scale of a real osprey so for a life-size model double all scales.
Also note: Thanks to some weird little computer thingy some of the drawings are on ASCI C size paper instead of A3 (annoying, right? Imagine how I felt when I found out!). I've marked these with "A3" and "ASCI C" in the file names. ASCI C is pretty close to A2 however you can "poster print" it across several sheets if you desire.
I've given no STLs of the feathers because you do NOT want to print those, they're all really thin and need twisting so they fold over each other. The templates should give enough information to help with fabrication :)
EDIT: 10/03/16
Please note: at default settings this would print very poorly, scale it up or consider using the files as reference for creation with stainless steel and bronze, pinned with brass rivets.
I'm sorry if the files miss out some stuff or aren't very clear, I also have DWG drawings however I'm yet to export them to pdf, when I do I'll upload them as well.
If you have any questions or notice extra files then please ask! :)

Hi,
This is my first upload. I present to you an animatronic Osprey designed for my latest folio work. I believed that sharing this online would allow other's to enjoy the model and would be useful to include in the paper copy of my report via link.
The design:
Originally designed to be made out of sheet metal and yet good for printing, this is a half-scale of an osprey that will flap its wings up and down and fold them in and out in order to give a more lifelike overall flapping motion. This is done by two cranks, offset to simplify the geometry; one to flap and one to fold.
PLEASE NOTE: The overall STL file is slightly out of date compared to the STLs for the separate parts (the holes have changed size) and so should be used for reference.
Some parts are mirror images of the others and I've included them just in case!. Also note in the title of the pieces I've given the number required.
Enjoy!
