This is a replacement belt grip for the Y belt on the Anet A8. It mounts using the stock holes, screws (M3/18) and nuts. Tensioning the belt with this part is easy. Attach the parts loosely to the printer with enough slack to feed the belt into the toothed gap. Pull the belt to tension and hold the pieces closed. Tighten the screws until all parts are touching. There is no need to over tighten the parts as the teeth keep the belt in place. The temperature of the bed does not seem to affect the part when in use.
Fitment:
12mm spacing on the M3/18 screws. The flat part is a spacer from the bed bracket, the toothed part fits next and the deeply grooved part is used to help tuck the excess belt away. This part is a slightly loose fit for the belt.
I printed this in PLA at 200C and 60C bed on the Anet A8. I have printed 10+ hours of print with no visible degradation. The top cover part is quite thin and can distort if peeled off the print surface carelessly.
Update:
I've added two new models.
A thinner Z axis version that has been marked as "thin"
A thinner Z axis and narrower version, that has been marked as "narrow-thin"
