ANET A8 - THE ULTIMATE STABLIZER
We it's probably not the ultimate, but we think it's the best thing since sliced bread.
This is the digital Sqrt's version of a frame stabilizer, Liner Rod Clamp, and Z-Axis screw guide.
It was noticed that linear rod would vibrate during a print. Checking the rods we determined it is just to lose in the frame. On our printer, we could move it 0.5mm (or a there bouts). Not to mention that; all A8 users know that the frame wobbles a bit. While we were at it we decided to stabilize the z-axis threaded rod. The parts in blue are our attempt at fixing all this.
The design and STL files are a work in progress. They will probably change. If we get good feedback from the community we will make updates.
We would like to thank SmallArtFly for making the "Anet A8 acryl" frame model available to all. Here
Parts List
4 - M3 x 20mm
4 - M3 x 14mm
4 - M3 x Hex Nuts
100 - M3 x 5.5mm Square Nuts (Purchase Here)
When you replace the top guide plates replace all the HEX nuts on the frame with the M3 x 5.5mm Square Nuts. They go a long way to improving the fame even without the brace. They are very inexpensive and do a lot of good.
