I needed to add a little light on the situation and I foundhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2093025

But I had a problem printing it out as it is, and I thought it could use some beefing up.
I also wanted to add more support for the LED strips as they are notorious for bad adhesion, so I added holes for zip ties on each end.
To attach this to the extruder used M3 screws into the untapped pillow-block back ends. To power this I just wired the LEDs into the 12V of the power supply, and made sure I shrink wrapped the ends for safety.
