Mount for standard 12mm inductive probe, enabling you to have Auto Bed Level for Anet A6.
Benefits:
Direct replacement for kit acrylic mount plate.
No need to modify x-carriage end stop.
Close to extruder tip for better probing and avoid reducing print area.
Stable and stiff probe mount.
Use standard 12mm inductive proximity probe like the LJ12A3-4-Z/BX - Search eBay LJ12A3-4-Z/BX
Most probes rated for 6 - 36V supply can run on 5V, but be aware that this voltage is too low and can result in unreliably distance measuring.
I recommend that the probe is supplied with 12V from the power supply. As the suggested probe is NPN (open collector) type output, it will not output any voltage but connect to 0V (GND) when activated.
It is therefore safe to connect directly to Z-min input on the Arduino, without any need for additional electronics. The input pin on the Arduino must be set to have internal pull-up resistor activated to read the signal from the probe correctly.
For additional information, please consult the many guides found on the web.
To assemble you will need an additional M3 12mm bolt and M3 nut to hold the probe in position. Reuse other bolts and screw from the kit.
Initial probe height is approximately 1mm above extruder tip.
You need to adjust the firmware to enable auto bed leveling and specify probe offset from extruder tip (X offset = -28mm, Y offset = 22mm) and (X offset = -28mm, Y offset = 19mm) for centered.
Update 2017.12.10: Added model that centers fan to nozzle (filename with center) and more space for fan notch.
