Ancient Meditteranean Looming Machine
by Artstation
Last crawled date: 2 years, 11 months ago
Detailed 3D model of an ancient Mediterranean looming machine. Looming machines were used extensively in Egypt and Greece, because textile creation and weaving were important tasks for most women in the civilizations of the Mediterranean basin. The 3d reconstruction is based on iconographical information from several different ancient amphora, craters, and vases and from academic resources. The object was initially modeled in Lightwave3D, and then converted and tested in other popular 3d formats (fbx, obj, 3dsmax, blender).
