Anchorable Shelf Leg for scrap wood shelf
This is a further improvement of my previous "Unremarkable Shelf Leg" (backwards compatable/same height) - these shelf legs can be anchored down to the surface of your desk, table, or workbench either with a screw or nail or secured to the edge of a surface with the included clamps so it won't get knocked over. The clamp version can be adjusted to clamp on to table surfaces ~1/4" up to ~1". Also - you can have a shelf that only has two legs instead of four - just don't put too much weight on it (it is a little bit unstable but if you're displaying some prints on a seldom-used surface it works).
Approximately 7" tall.
There's three styles of legs included:
1) Shelf Leg with holes - uses the included clamp hardware to hold it to the edge of your desk/bench. Needs machine screw to mount L-clamp to leg (6-32 or 8-32 or whatever fits - hole seems to vary based on orientation of print)
2) Fat style leg to match my "unremarkable shelf leg" - has a foot/base with a hole to attach a screw/nail to anchor it to your workbench. Requires putting a hole in your surface (untested because I don't want holes in my workbench!).
3) Thin style leg. Similar model as above, but about 1/8" taken off the hypotenuse of the triangle. More efficient and shaves about 40 minutes of print time.
CREDIT: The knurled screw and thread were designed by johann517 on his "G-Clamp" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1673030 - you can download and use the ones there and I also included them with the release.
!! Required tools + Materials:
Some wood screws of your choice (machine screw to attach L-Clamp to leg), screw driver, and a scrap 3/4" board.
Copy/Pasted description from my previous release which you can still find at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4711722
Simple, low-poly LEG for a shelf/riser/inkjet printer or monitor stand/table. Measures 7" tall. Use any scrap 3/4" wood board (you can use any thickness board but the top of the leg won't match the surface of the board if it's not 3/4" thick). Align the leg to the board, drill the holes (drill maybe not needed if its soft wood), and screw it in with wood screws. It's plain! It's boring! It's unremarkable!
15%-25% infill is plenty strong for most applications.
