Update 11/30 - I added a file with BIG hole for the cable pass through area.
Update 11/24 - I added a file for the 30 wedge that pitches the doorbell down to see more of the floor for those that want to see their packages based on some feedback.
You just got a new Amcrest Doorbell but you need it to see the person when they stand in your doorway? Doorbell Wedgie!
I searched out there for a wedge that I could use for my new doorbell, but my issue was both bad alignment in the other design as well as issues that it would not fully cover the 1 gang construction box that I was mounting my doorbell.
This is dual purpose in that it is a little bit bigger to cover the whole 1 gang box, it also aligns the screw holes to attach it to the 1 gang box. It also doubles by being perfectly usable for all that just have a flat surface mount. 2 in 1 design use!
Despite my doorbell being completely covered from the elements, I wanted it to also recess a slight bit into the wedge so that it could keep out most dust and water. So your new doorbell should cradle right into this wedge with very small tolerance on the top and sides.
I used the 30 degree wedge for my application. But given that some people may need small degree, and it was easy for me to modify, I also made 10 degree and 20 degree models while I was at it for other depending on your application.
This wedge is designed for a right side installation. If there are a lot of left side people out there, let me know, and I might work on the other side if I have some free time.
If you like my designs, please comment, collect, and love them. If you saved some money printing my designs, please consider shooting me a tip or something small.
These are NOT for commercial reproduction of any kind.
I recessed the mount as well as designed for recess on the actual camera as well.
I made mine in PETG for added strength being outside, but I think anything would work if you cannot print PETG.
I use SUNLU filament for nearly all of my prints. They work consistently good for me in all of my printers.
