This is a jig for aligning the Y Axis rods on the AM8. Getting the Y rods in the right place is difficult so i thought i would try making a jig. Using this getting them in the right place is easy.
To use this, have all the rods and motor/belt mounts attached but loose so they can slide freely on the extrusions. Simply put the jig on the rods on one end and tighten the mounts, then put the jig on the other end and tighten the mounts on the other side. Another option is to print 2 jigs to put on both ends at the same time but one worked well enough for me.
The jig also has a slot so that the belt can be centred too which is also important for the Y axis to move well.
