(Ongoing Project)
This is a 6-wheeled rover with front and rear steering.
Uses 6 wheel assemblies and a battery pack from iRobot Create Roomba units. (Battery pack can be made with 12 sub c NiMH cells)
Mounting support for 2 Raspberry Pi 3 boards. One RasPi can be swapped with an arduino UNO (or other arduino with same bolt pattern)
Chassis Length: 413 mm.
Chassis Width: 176 mm.
Chassis Height: 50 mm.
Overall Length: 441 mm.
Overall Width: 270 mm.
Overall Height: >105 mm. (Superstructure not added yet)
Four Part Chassis allows for more reasonable print volumes. Largest part is 138 mm x 176 mm x 50 mm (L x W x H)
Front and rear wheel-adapters are identical, but mid wheels are fixed using two strut-pins each.
Front steering is roughly 30 degrees.
Rear steering is roughly 15 degrees.
