From the time the world’s been spinning from the beginning, this sub-species of the pink willow has been covered in a little bit of sunshine. The marshmallow tree is absolute proof that marshmallows do grow on trees! They don’t on Earth yet, but at least they do on an alien planet.
The following models are provided:
V01 - original Maya model
V02 - complete
V02 - trunk
V02 - branches
Scale the marshmallow tree to suit your requirements. Print using about 25% infill. You will need to use supports.
Printing the trunk and branches separately will save support material, especially on larger prints. In this case you will need to join the two halves together using a suitable adhesive, such as epoxy.
Clean up the model, and paint the marshmallows in your favourite pastel colours.
The v01 marshmallow tree was initially modelled in ViaCAD and model detailed in Maya. The v02 version was cleaned up using MeshMixer and remodelled with extra detail added using ZBrush.
The alien marshmallow tree has appeared in my demo game https://youtu.be/wspaapLo5rg and turntable animation https://youtu.be/ieJL2TUDN3k
