This is an airsoft foregrip that will fit onto a standard sized airsoft rail. I put holes in the side for a screw to lock it in but I didn't test that hole to see if it works. I just use the second piece that screws in from the bottom, and it fits nicely on my airsoft gun.
I printed the big part with Cura's fuzzy skin feature in the experimental tab. It turned out great and had lots of grip! I also checked the box that says fuzzy skin outside only. That way, the fuzzy skin isn't inside the part too. I highly recommend enabling fuzzy skin for this print. I do not recommend it for the part that screws into the big part, though.
For the orientation of the parts, I printed the big part with its threaded side up. The little part was printed with the knob on the build plate.
For supports, I did them but only touching the build plate on the big part. That way, you support the part of it that will slide onto the rails, but you don't support the threads. It is really important that you do not enable all supports. Cura will automatically support the threads on the inside of the part, and you will never get those supports out. Trust me, the threads will print just fine without supports. Supports are not necessary at all on the smaller part.
Thanks for checking out this foregrip! It works great for me. The higher infill you print it with, the stronger it will be. Don't forget to post your makes!
