Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno–Hatta) (IATA: CGK, ICAO: WIII), abbreviated SHIA[6] or Cengkareng airport (hence IATA designator CGK), is the primary airport serving the Greater Jakarta area on the island of Java in Indonesia. Named after the first president and vice-president of Indonesia, Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta, the airport is located at Benda, Tangerang, 20 km northwest of Central Jakarta. It is the busiest, largest airport in Southeast Asia, the busiest in the southern hemisphere and one of the busiest airports in the world. Together with Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, they served over 70 million passengers of Greater Jakarta in 2017.[7]
