This is a rough initial idea. The cloud (the shape taken from AirPatrol literature) is made from a frosted, translucent plastic. Situated behind this are the LEDs (either individual or an RGB) and the IR emitters. The cloud can also be setup as a button. The vented areas around the front edge allow air inside the case to the temperature and humidity sensors. If needed, LEDs and IR emitters could be located in the vent area. Regarding opening of the case, one possibility is to have two clips released by inserting a small flat blade screwdriver or similar into the vents. This would then remove the front cover along with the motherboard and battery which are mounted to it, leaving a backing plate fixed to the wall.
