Ellipticaloptician's Model Rocket kit is designed for Estes C11 and D sized motors. But there are other model rocket motor manufacturers that make 24mm motors the same physical size, but with higher power. One of these companies is Aerotech, who also make a reloadable motor casing and sell the components (grains) to build several different size motors (the casing is re-usable).
These motors, however, use a thrust ring at the base of the motor, near the nozzle that push against the bottom of the engine tube, and as such do not fit in the normal retention system of Ellipticaloptician's design.
These adapters will allow you to use both Aerotech's single use 24mm motors, or their 24/40 Reloadable Motor System (RMS). There is a 4mm difference in length between their single use and RMS, however, so I've provided a tall adapter for the RMS and a short adapter for the single use motors. Both use the same retainer.
To use, print the files (duh) and then insert the motor in the appropriate adapter, then screw on the retainer snuggly. You can then insert the motor into the fin can as you would with the original retainer.
WARNING: I cannot guarantee that your rocket can survive the pressures these larger motors may produce, and I have not yet tested this myself. Caution is advised, especially as you approach the high end of the spectrum.
If you do print this and use it, let us know how high your rocket got (assuming it survived).
