Since FDM printers emit some gas when extruding I have designed a simple active carbon filter for a fan. The fan is a simple 70x70 mm computer fan and will be used in a homebuilt enclosure for a rep-rap printer.
I used a two part design to be able to change the filter easily. This was done by making in clip onto the lower. I used M6 20 mm screws and bolts to fasten the filter onto the upper body. The lower body was fastened with some M3 25 mm screws and bolts.
If there is anything you think I should change to improve the design I am always open to suggestions!
