A variety of Abaci for a wide range of teaching purposes.
Unlike regular abaci these designs feature toothed rods so that the beads won't slide or move if the frame is bumped - perfect for young users!
Different bead varieties with optional raised numbering from 0-9 are available: or a more traditional smooth variety is also supplied!
Contents:
Abacus - 1-Rod
For the younger users: only one rod (for numbers from 0-9) Uses base 5: so use the base-5 beads + blank!
Abacus - 2-Rod
Similar to the single-rod design but with two rods!
Abacus - 2-Rod (Base 10)
Similar to the two-rod design. This is capable of displaying numbers from 0-99 and should be printed with the base-10 beads (the simplest method! What most young pupils learn!)
Abacus - 3-Rod
Same as the single rod - but with a total of 3 rods
Abacus - 4-Rod
Same as the single rod - but with a total of 4 rods
Abacus - 5-Rod
Same as the single rod - but with a total of 5 rods
Abacus - Suan Pan
A traditional Chinese-style abacus known as the "Suan Pan": featuring 13 Rods: designed to be used with the "blank bead" or "bead base 5 + blank" if numbers are required
Abacus - Soroban
A traditional Japanese-style abacus known as the "Soroban": featuring 13 Rods: designed to be used with the "blank bead" or "beads for soroban" if numbers are required
NB this is still a work in progress: a break-apart version is also being designed so it can be printed on smaller printers.
An updated version will also be released in a few hours
