AA Slug (Nail Pocket) is a sheath for a larger nail, to take the place of an AA battery when using non-1.5v replacements in a multi-battery pack. Simply takes up the space where one AA battery would go, in those cases where filling the battery bay would result in over-voltage (ex. using Lithium Ion batteries in place of alkaline, as LiIon runs 3.6v per cell). Simply shove an appropriate-sized nail through the slug, then cut off the end for the + post. (pictured)
AA Slug (AAA Pocket) is a sheath for using a AAA battery in an AA battery slot. Sometimes ya gotta make-do with that's on-hand. Does require a metal rod or hefty roll of foil to insert in the narrow opening to act as a contact between the battery and the electronic device. I use the off-cut portion of nail from the other slug. (not pictured as of this time)
May be possible to use large-gauge copper wire instead of nail if you have some handy.
