I wanted to add a fan to the existing Ventline Ventadome roof vent in my RV without having to replace the entire vent for at least $150 which is what I was told I had to do.
Instead, I bought all the parts I could. I designed and printed the motor bracket that Ventline doesn’t make. Installed everything and now have a fan in the RV roof vent for about $45.
You will want to print this in light colored (clear/white didn't absorb as much heat) ABS or PETG, ABS being the best choice for this application. PLA didn't last at all in the heat and sun. PETG did well but after an entire season of sitting in the sun it also eventually sagged. ABS has the highest temperature resistance and has been working very well for me now.
Below are the parts I purchased:
12V DC Motor for Ventlinehttps://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Ventline/BVD0218-00.html#exp-productdetails=.related-products
Fan Blade for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Ventshttps://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Ventline/BVD0215-00.html#exp-productdetails=.related-products
