Alexander Sarantos Tremulis (January 23, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, United States – December 29, 1991 in Ventura, California) was a Greek-American industrial designer in the North American automotive industry.

Tremulis held automotive design positions at Cord Automobile, Duesenberg, General Motors, Tucker Car Corporation and Ford Motor Company before establishing a consulting firm.



This concept car was designed by Alex Tremulis from a chassis with two Ford 289 Cobra engines.

These were originally part of the Duesenberg revival, but when that effort collapsed, Alex thought they were too good to go to waste, so he began the Sarantos name.

He got quotes for the bodies from an Italian coachbuilder that Brooks Stevens put him in touch with. As Alex said: "Imagine driving from the back seat of a Lincoln Continental...
