Just a little spin off of my last design. A little less steel and a little more wood. Some of the key features are the simplicity of the clamp design, slimply pry open the spring steel to fit over the ledge then let it close in place in place. The aesthetics of the rod holder and the integration of very simple auto tensioners for holding different sized rods.

Budget spectrum: The cost to make this product are in the middle ground. The rod carrier will required some investment to create jigging to hold it in place for the various drilling and cutting operations but it would be within reason.

I've included a .pdf document which provides a quick overall analysis of the processes and jigging that would be involved in making the rod carrier portion(10 step process). Please note that the jigs in the renders are just quick and dirty representational and it wouldn't be recommended to use the files as they are right now.

Manufacturing:

what I didn't cover in the .pdf

the spring steel plate used in the clamp would be formed by way of forge press, flat sheet could be laser cut, drilled, logos etched or cut and then stamp formed to shape. I designed the knob to use a standard off the store bolt, it would be slide into the knob cut out, no need for special insert etc. If the hex-head cut out could not be cut into wood, the knob could be 3D printed. If in testing, the spring steel proved to not be an effective means of holding tension on it's own, a simple addition of a small screw knob, through the steel, on the front of the clamp would provide the extra clamping force, it would be a none issue to add this to the design.

I didn't include a manufacturing analysis of the clamp and base but they would be made out of the same wood as the carrier. The processes would follow a similar situation, possibly some jigging would be required.
The small spring steel auto tensioners for the rod holders would be laser cut from flat sheet and then bend to shape via forms, this process would most likely be best outsourced to a company who specializes in this area. The cost for such a small item, and assuming small production run should not be too substantial. The metal ends would be coated in plasti dip, they then just have to be inserted into their pre-slotted slits and the tabs are simply bent back using a clamp or pliers, no screws required. Many of the processes could be done on CNC however different jigging would be required and it might be more costly.
