It started as a sports park for the occupants of Philips village, a
village built especially for Philips staff. The sports park of the
Philips sport association has developed slowly into a large stadion
with four Uefa-sterren. The last verbouwing was in 2002, then the
Zuiderhoeken was produced. The field is 105 meters long and 68 meters
widely and it are provide with systems for moistening, fertilisation,
drainage and heating. Recently the field is also irradiated with
special increase lamps each day, according to the SGL concept. In
2005, the hekken were removed along the fields as a result of which
the supporters got a better visibility on the field.
