The inner and outer sections of the clamp are pressed onto the rail with a force. once the sections are over the rail, they are pressed together and tighten.
The primary method of fastening for this clamp is friction. By making the surfaces tapered, this allows for the clamp to tighten down the more it is pressed in. An additional safety feature is the ridges which help with any movement or loss in friction.

The clamp consists of 2 parts.
Inner- Ridges located on the outer surface
- Outer surface is tapered
- Raised section with slide built in
Outer- Grooves internally to allow the ridges on the inner section to seat
- Made especially thick to resist bending when the inner clamp presses against it.

The total print area required is 61mm x 42mm x 30mm high
