Paddle Wheel

Complete with Drawings and Step (Scale 1:25) of the Paddle Wheel Steam Ship Gallia (Switzerland 1913).

The fastest Swiss steamship with the most powerful two-cylinder Steam engine!
In 1913, Escher Wyss delivered their last, largest and at the same time fastest steamship for the lake of Lucerne.
The top speed will be 31,5 kilometers per hour reached by no other Swiss paddle steamer.
The “Gallia” remains the only steamship still in service with a country name.
Built as a tribute to France, the tricolor flutters on the bow mast. On the bow ornament is the Gallic rooster.
Other steamships with country names, such as Germania, Italia or Victoria have long since disappeared.
