This is the prosthesis that I designed to enable Kevin to hold a violin bow. The center mount accepts a 1/2" rod onto which any number of attachments can be fit. A bicycle seat post quick connect is used to mount the rod to the prosthesis, and simple velcro straps hold the prosthetic on his arm. This is a reimagining of another project (found online) that involved many smaller parts and a BOA lacing system, which proved to be too uncomfortable for extended use. (The original project is here: https://www.instructables.com/id/Playful-Prosthetic-Arm/)
The wider velcro straps are less expensive, easier, and distribute the hold force across more of the wearer's arm, so it's more comfortable to use. I also moved to a single TPU body, so there is only the one part to print. It should print fine on any 300mm x 300mm bed, as long as your extruder can handle flexibles.
You can read more about the project, Kevin, and the team who made it possible, here: https://www.ksat.com/video/video/2020/02/07/fifth-grade-musician-with-prosthetic-honors-late-father-by-playing-violin/
