This is my third entry for https://grabcad.com/challenges/the-golden-gear-awards-2013

For those whom have served in the US armed forces you probably already know what a challenge coin is but for the rest of you, it is typically a coin representing various units, deployments and often presented by unit commanders. It is a tool to help build moral and a fun thing to collect to show where you have been or what you have done. You are supposed to always have one on you and hence the name challenge coin. There are a few ways to challenge someone with it. if you pull out your coin to challenge some one, they must also produce a coin, if they do not they do something like pushups or buy you a round at the bar. If they do accept your challenge and can produce a coin, you must do the pushups or buy the round. Wikipedia has a more detailed description of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge_coin

I thought this was a fun idea and again, a cool award that is different from the desktop trophy so this is my GrabCAD rendition of one. The "Heads" side has the Golden Gear badge while the "Tails" side has the name of the specific award and the GrabCAD "Powered by Engineers" on the the back. This coin was designed to be printed in Brass or Bronze however for much cheaper the strong & flexible plastic or detailed acrylic may provide nice results. It is printable in sandstone and I could provide a colored model but I do not think it would hold up to much abuse.

I only provided a file with the name if a single award but if this is chosen I would make one with the specific award name for each.
