For echo reduction, a cheap carpet can be stapled or nailed to the ceiling board, any style you got would probably suffice if it was red, black or white. For the door handles, two primed cutouts of letters G and C providing enough leverage to open and close the door from the outside, and because the door can be pushed out from inside to open it, it should be fine without one.
Renders include a black and a red square filled wall to allow judges to decide which one they like more.
