I'm in a phase right now where I'm tired of tool cases, so I'm throwing them out. I don't need to pack up to go to the jobsite. I just fill my pockets with what I need and go.

In the same spirit of my https://grabcad.com/library/router-bit-drawer-storage-1, I built Driver Bit Storage. I had boxes, little "clips", and little rubber holders everywhere. Threw em all away! Made a magnetic block, bit holder, thing.

This was designed to be cut on my CNC router. The back is ~3/4 BD plywood and the little holders are 3/4" x 1 1/2" poplar sticks - because that's the scrap I had. I cut the poplar sticks to length, and the bottom bevel, on the tablesaw and everything else was done on the router. You can get an idea of my steps in the pics.

I super glued and drove 3mm x 10mm magnets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFHNHNW) into both the back and the holders. I alternated N and S so that they couldn't be put in upside down. You'd have to be really drunk to do that, but I though it was a neat feature to add at zero cost.

It took two backs and six holders to finally get things right, but now you can easily pull a block off and snap it back on. These are not friction fit. Even thought the magnets are somewhat weak, they hold really well and guide themselves back in.

**I use Vectric Aspire. If any Aspire guys want my files, I will up them. I can also include the 4" vice clamps. Of course, you'll have to adjust for your own materials and tooling, but if you're using Aspire, you already know what to do.
