How the device is intended to work is illustrated in the renderings I have provided. Generally in this design I aimed at reducing unnecessary components such as screws (which simultaneously reduces cost in the production process) as well as render a futuristic look that is both elegant and intriguing. The pin based mounting bosses and lip/groove on the housing allow for easy disassembly when needed to gain access to the battery or other components inside. I laid the internal components loosely inside the housing to illustrate that everything fits. The device can be operated from the charging dock or without it. It has a few additional accessories that allow it to be mounted to walls, windows, and so forth. Thickness is 1.5 mm throughout most of the model. It is intended to be connected to the dock via a universal micro USB port for charging. I presume it could have a standalone usb/micro-usb cable that comes with for connecting to a PC for configuration purposes or data extraction. The little hand with the card in the swiping area is optional yet recommended since it will be clearer to the user what it is and how to use it.
