I use 1.6mm glass from the dollar store.
I am currently only using the rear two pieces to locate the glass. Instead of binder clips I use silicone pads to hold the glass. Ifound that binder clips would transfer the warp of the build plate, silicone pads allows the glass to float above and remain flat
