This stone piece is located in The Chabahil Stupa at Chabahil,Nepal. It pictures a flaming wheel flanked by deers at the middle, female devotee and child at each sides. Being over thousand years old, the stone today has been quite withered away, and shows the effect of aging but the carvings are still recognizable. The Chabahil stupa, where this stone piece lies is believed to have been constructed by Charumati, the daughter of famous King Ashoka(reigned 273-232 BC).

Ashoka was the king of the Maurayan dynasty. His kingdom covered almost an entire Indian sub-continent. It was the largest Indian empire at that time. The Kalinga war(261 BC) proved to be a turning point in his life. The genocide in the Kalinga war made him filled with regrets and he converted to Buddhism. In the entire Indian history, this war is considered as the deadliest war costing nearly 250,000 lives.
