Simply drop an avocado pit(pointy side up) and fill jar with water until the bottom is submerged. Replace water every few days; pit can take weeks-months to germinate.
The ring isnt necessary if you already have a stockpile of the metal mason jar bands. The lip has been modified so the pit insert snaps in(there is no tolerance, so it might be a good idea to shrink the insert model to make the fit easier).
I intentionally made the insert thin in case it needed to be sacrificed during transplanting phase.
