This quadcopter frame is sandwich type, making it very strong and light. It has lots of room for electronics and other equipment. Battery straps to the bottom with velcro straps, ESCs go inside arms or middle level and flight controller on top. It is possible to make a very clean build with this frame.
Maximum propeller size for this frame is 13" when you use 200 mm long 20 mm diameter rods for arms. I designed the top plate mounting points for 30.5 mm mount OpenPilot Revolution flight controller.
The basic build requires 4 motor mounts, 4 landing legs, 8 rod holders (4 nut, 4 regular) and both frame plates. You can also print Revo protector and protector standoff if required. The GPS mount is available as a separate published item. The hull is printed from two parts, and joined together with CA glue. It attaches to the top plate with a few pieces of velcro.
The motor mounts are printed from PETT, legs from Nylon, hull from PLA and the rest from ABS. I recommend PETT also for the frame plates.
You can find dampening mount parts for FatShark Pan&Tilt system in the thing files. The "arm" part is attached to the upper servo with M2.5 screws. Glue sorbothane or similar dampening material between dampener arm and base. I also made a video TX antenna mount that goes to the bottom of the quad.
The carrying handle clips on the quad's arms reliably. It uses the same 200 mm long 20 mm diameter CF tube as the copter.
I am using 4000 mAh 4S, 750kv AX-2810Q motors, 40A Sunrise BLHeli ESCs inside the arms and 13x5.5" propellers at the moment.
2015/05/16 edit: I now use 4000 mAh 6S, same motors and ESCs, 10x5,5 props which make the quad more agile, with about the same flight time thanks to bigger battery energy capacity. Added GoPro / Xiaomi Yi mount.
