5.4" Modified I beam VW Bug Connecting Rod

I believe I had taken the small block ford rod to make this one. So this one will say its from an educational version...
This was designed to be extremely easy to produce with relatively good strength and weight savings.
This is the early prototype of the connecting rod I designed for JO/EL Engineering. The later version of this rod will be in the American LeManns race.
The later version of this rod had a narrower diamer journal, that of a Honda for additional weight savings, and a lighter crank for faster revving.

90 degree angle rod connector by Erik
