I was wanting a minimal 100 mm relatively fast test to calibrate steps without all the other tests that other rulers on thingiverse have in them. I came up with this. I put the marks on the Z axis on the inside so that digital calipers can get to the marks without anything being in the way. When measuring, measure center to center of the marks or top of mark to top of mark. You can adjust for the outside wall printed line being slightly thicker (because it has nothing pushing against the outside part of it) in Cura using the Horizontal Expansion setting of -0.1 to -0.4mm. That makes sure that your center to center measurement for steps is accurate and your outside walls will be adjusted for the slightly thicker outside line on walls to create pretty accurate prints.
The marks on the X Y and Z axis are 50mm center to center.
It is 100 mm center to center of the outer 2 marks.
The overall length is 110mm outside to outside of the long spans.
