5 Frame Nuc

This is a 5 frame nuc box with a built in landing board. It is made of 1'x2' furring strips, 1'x8' and 1'x10'. The frame rests are made of 1/4' plywood. All components are attached with 1/4' x 1 1/2' crown staples and Titebond III wood glue. Total cost for this nuc is estimated at around $14 not including glue and staples. We protect the outside of our bee equipment with a mixture of 2 parts linseed oil and 1 part turpentine, applying 2 coats.
