I recently made a cable holder for my banana cables in my lab (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1023662). It is really nice to get a bit of order in there. However, the smaller cables did not hang perfectly in that rake, so now I have made another design for 3 mm alligator cables.
I showed the 6 mm holder to one of the mechanical engineers at my work, and he immediately spotted some areas where his FEM analysis would explode (sharp edges -> forces going towards infinit). These areas have also been fixed in this design.
