Updated model for diy linear rail and 3dp linear bearings.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4681349
Model runs on 3mm ball bearings, and linear rail made from 10x10mm and 15x2mm aluminum profiles combination, which are bound by small 3.2 mm rivets. After riveting aluminum profile becomes stiff while separate profiles are bendy. In this model are less parts. only 3 3dp parts and some M3 hardware screws and nuts. Linear bearing size was increased to 40x40mm, mounting holes are spaced 22mm in movement direction and 23.4mm in other one. Mounting nuts are hidden and glued in midzone of bearing. Outer part has 10 degree slope which provides bidirectional tensioning when sliding between outer and inner part occurs during tightening of tensioning screws. Desing has holes for bb's channel cleaning and lubrication. Parts are designed to have minimal post processing. Auto-fixating M3 nuts or thread lock compound should be used for tensioning screws and simple M3 nuts for part mounting screws.
Printing. No supports ball bearing grooves facing up. 0.4mm nozzle. Surface where meets parts vas litle bit cleaned up to reduce layer lines. Iner part corners also where cleaned up to remove pinched corners and other 3dp artefacts as elephant foot.
Current design could be aplicable in 3d printers.
Also working on 6 mm bb version. Posible cnc aplications.
