I bought a couple of glass build plates for my FlashForge Creator Pro and decided I needed something that would hold the glass plate in place while I was preparing it such as applying Kapton tape or applying a layer of hair spray. I also wanted a place to set a plate to cool after a print while using a second plate to start another print.
This simple device works for both cases, it is mostly universal but can be customized if needed. This is my first object created in OpenSCAD and is really fairly simple but was a good intro to learn the OpenSCAD basics.
I also have another version of this thing located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:757945 which prints in 4 pieces and is more universal for varying widths of build plates (in case you have multiple printers with varying build plate sizes)
Update 4/26/2015 - Updated to include a wall around sides to add support since I had a corner break off by tightening too tight, this should help although you should not need to tighten that much anyway (it is not a vise). Also added pics of my print using .2mm layer height with 10% infill using ABS and the defaults shown in customizer, the glass was purchased from the Flashforge store and fits perfect with these defaults.
