If you want to build a rostock mini this part could be useful for you. It serves to 3D print the upper and lower frame. In the original design this pieces must be laser cutted. But I don't like this and finally design a piece that could be 3D printed in a standard hotbed of 20x20cm to accomplish this function. With this design the upper an lower frame will be identical.
The piece needs 2 hours to be printed. You will need 3 copies to build every frame. It has 4 holes in one corner to attach the motor end or idler end (this part only needs 2 holes, the other 2 are spare). The piece has two pairs of little holes to insert zip ties, to fit wires and other items. One side is completely flat and the other one has two inserts to join the pieces with M3x10 nuts & bolts.
When you join the 3 copies the final result is a delta platform with the adecuate measures, with a space inside to insert your hand and hold the printer, The edge inside is rounded to have a better grip.
I's very important that the piece don't bend, must be completely flat. If not, the joining of the pieces will be misaligned and don't looks well
Printed in PLA 3mm with Cura and 30% infill
