Buying scope rings that are the right height for you and your particular rifle can be a little difficult. There is a lot of guesswork involved if you're not very experienced. Many manufacturers will not let you return rings that have been mounted, so you essentially have to pay a ton of money to test things out and even then you may settle for something that's close enough but not perfect.
I bought myself a new 34mm scope for Christmas and didn't want to go through that again (especially since the rings I want are over $200 for a pair) so I made these. They vary in height from 1" to 1.5"* by .125". Height is measured from the top of the rail to the center of the scope tube.
Slide the rings on to the rail, then pop the scope in the rings.
I shouldn't have to say this, but USE FOR TESTING ONLY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIVE FIRE YOUR RIFLE USING THESE.

*Note that Nightforce does not make 1.25" height rings
