This is a bell inlet/velocity stack designed for use with 30mm fans. Based on elliptical inlet bell designs for maximum discharge coefficient and maximum flow. Increases flow by matching inlet air direction with fan's axis to reduce the region of turbulence and low flow near the edge of the fan blades where the majority of airflow is generated. Minimizing this turbulence also reduces fan noise due to less turbulent flow and less vibration.
Two versions included, one with only 2 mounting holes that I use with a particular fan and another with 4 holes. I recommend mounting via all 4 holes to get a better seal to the fan's front. A small amount of glue can also be used to get an airtight seal between the inlet and fan for maximum effect.
