These wheels are a work in progress. I intend to build a 2x72 belt grinder with scrap (I have a couple of spare motors) and 3D printed parts to use in blacksmithing efforts. I'm printing in ABS and PLA and have no idea if the wheel treads will handle the heat but it seems like a worthwhile thing to attempt. Bearings are 5/16 x 5/8 x 1/4 flanged that I recovered from equipment I used to maintain.
Update: Finally got back to working on building a grinder to use these parts on. I have now re-profiled and sharpened a knife blade with these wheels! The drive wheel has a few wraps of tape to help the tracking which I will be adding to the prints soon, the crowned tracking wheel wasn't enough to make up for my shoddy workmanship. ;]
