These are gages to set the protrusion of a gouge to 2" when using a grinding jig to sharpen lathe tools, namely the bowl and spindle gouges.
The Round gage has a hole 3/4" diameter by 2" deep.
The Oval gage has a hole 1-1/4"x3/4" by 2" deep. Fits my 3/4" rougher with room to spare.
