3DTomorrow's take on the Masterspool concept as proposed by Richrap (original design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769823).
This design accommodates a 1kg Masterspool refill, allowing you to change filament less frequently than the often used 750g refill. The design aims to use minimal filament without compromising on strength and durability. With a 0.8mm nozzle and 300 micron layer height, the whole spool can be printed in under 6 hours.
Not convinced? Here's why some people chose to switch to Masterspool:
Eco-friendly option: the Masterspool is designed to be re-used, every time you use a refill you'll be saving the environment from a new spool being produced.
Cheaper option: a refill is generally cheaper than a spooled alternative.
Use up Filament: printing a Masterspool is a great way to use up the last bits of filament you might have lying around.
Branding: whether you have a favourite colour or you want the spools to match your company branding a Masterspool gives you the option to do this.
Sample Testing: A Masterspool is a great option to spool up filament samples.
3DTomorrow refills benefit from re-useable cable-ties, so if you do not want to print multiple Masterspools you can switch out refills.
