Ever thought of making a Transformer toy based on a car you own? Well I decided I loved my 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe 4-Door Sedan enough to do so for a school project.

Between 1000-2000 hours went into this SolidWorks model by the time it was presented at the end of the semester for my Concurrent Design & Manufacturing course at the University of Oklahoma.

My partner and I won 1st Place Overall for our design, presentation, and report for the project.

Springer is a character from the Transformers universe; the likeness of his concept model for the 2013 toy-line featuring him was used in order to create this model. I am not a part of Hasbro (Hasbro if you are reading this, I would love a job!!!), and this model was created for educational purposes only.

We only got to do two RP jobs, my partner and I chose to do one of the Chevelle before it was converted into a Transformer, and the 2nd one was the Transformer at the end of the semester in a posed statuette form. While the statue does not transform, you can see that the model does have the capabilities to do so from the video.
