1:700 scale US Navy twin 5" dual purpose turrets for model warships by 1213Alpha

This project was initially created in response to the terrible quality secondary turrets on the Hasegawa Waterline series USS South Dakota kit and the absolutely absurd (in my personal opinion) price of aftermarket parts. Somewhere along the line I also picked up a USS San Diego model kit and those turrets were even worse. When I got annoyed enough I hopped on Tinkercad and went to town with a pair of calipers on the Hasegawa turrets for dimensions and a lot of reference pictures to get the general shape right. These are far from perfect, but they're better than the stock turrets.
Changelog:
14JUN21 (v1.1)
-Added USS South Dakota (BB-57) secondaries
-Added individual turret bodies and gun tubes
-Updated USS San Diego (CL-53) main guns
Printing:
These are intended for resin printing, and the supports are already present for printers that use chitubox in the ready-to-print sets, but the individual bodies and tubes will need to be staged properly.
Disclaimer:
These are as yet untested, so I will provide an update when I print these and again when I put them on the models they are meant for.
