If you're like me, you've got a bunch of 15mm WWII figures laying around, along
with Tanks (3d printed of course) and terrain etc. I bought an e-copy of the
V2 Bolt Action rules on iBooks and created the necessary components to play:
Unit Stands: Scaled at 15/28 of the size of normal Bolt Action stands. Each
stand also has a space for a 1mm thick magnet (up to 5mm diameter) so you can
store units neatly in a metal box
Mini dice holders: The rules call for a means to mark how many members of a
crew-served weapon are alive. Print this out, glue it to the base, paint it to
look like a wooden crate, and stick in a mini die (from the old pocket model
games - Pirates or Star wars - you know you have some somewhere) to indicate
how many are alive.
Pin markers: Print some of these to indicate how many pins are on a unit. You
can print the simple marker and use one per pin, or print the one with the dice
holder and use the die as above to indicate how many pins.
Scaled Ruler:
Converts 28mm inch ranges to 15mm. Use this to calculate ranges. Print multiple
rulers to measure longer ranges.
Scaled HE Template: Used for determining coverage for high explosive hits. Scaled
versions of 1" (small inner ring), 2" (small outer), 3" (large inner), and 4" (large
outer) are included.
Order Dice: I was unable to print the text clearly at the size die I wanted. So,
I printed the dice blank (use one of the many dice things on thingiverse) and made up decals using testor's inkjet printable decal system. I painted over the decals with a few coats of clear finish.
